Sia, the singer/songwriter behind dozens of the worlds most popular songs is one of the most talented singers I have come across in a long while. And what really amazes me about her is how modest she is.
Over the passed couple of years it has come into light that a lot of the top40 music of today is all written by a small handfull of people. Sia is one of those people... but in a totally different kind of way.

Sia is 39 years old and hails from Australia, She began her singing career at quite a young age in the local acid jazz band Crisp. The band broke up in late 1997 and Sia released her debut studio album entitled OnlySee on Flavoured Records in Australia... It only sold 1,200 copies.
She then moved to London and began singing for the Semi-popular band Jamiroquai, she worked and collaborated with them and helped write several songs durring her time with the band.
Moving forward a few years.. Sia released a couple more albums which had quite a bit more success than the previous ones and it seemed things were lookin good!
In 2009, Christina Agulara approached her to help her write some balads for her upcomming 6th album. Sia wrote 3 songs for Christina and later worked with Cher on the film Burlesque.
This is when her career started to take off in a big way, Sia was approached by several musicians including David Guetta, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Flo Rida and Rihanna. She wrote and offered her musical flare on dozens of tracks and set the way for song writers to come on how it's done.
With the massive success of her song "Chandelier" it was then set in stone again that she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
And this is also when she started to realize that her popularity was going to become an issue.
When she was back in Australia, she didn't need to worry about people recognizing her because she wasn't yet that well known, now.. several years and many popular albums later she has started to hide her appearence in some pretty interesting ways.

I was able to find some footage of her early days performing without hiding her face, this was back in 2008.
"I don't want people taking picture of me while I go shopping at Walmart, or piss in the street"
It is very clear when you hear this girl sing live that she has one of the most beautiful, unique voices of this era. We are excited to see what she has to offer with the upcomming album "Sister" due for mid 2016.
